“Some Like It Hot” Exhibit at History Miami

“Some Like It Hot”, a fantastic new exhibit at the History Miami Museum in Downtown Miami explores Miami’s thriving art scene in an unusual way. Rather than canvases being hung, artists have created their work directly on the exhibit’s walls. The result has a definite street art and graffiti flavor, however it is different than what you would see on the streets.

These site-specific installation pieces have been created by a wide range of Miami locals: graffiti artists, contemporary gallery artists and street artists all occupy the same space. Curated by Brandon Opalka, artists include QuakeTati SuarezPucho, Erin O’Dea, 2Alas, Astre74, Arive, Santi, Crook, Atomik, George Sanchez Calderon, Bhakti Baxter, Doug “Hox” Hoekzema, Abstrk, Luis Berros, Victor Muñiz, 131 Projects, Jeffrey Noble, Francesco LoCastro and Magnus Sodamin.

The show is open until April 27, 2014. The official opening Pop-Up Party is March 19th from 6pm – 9pm. For more info, click here.
